Navaia Coaching

For successful people who’ve reached a point where achievement alone is no longer enough.

There comes a point when the next promotion, the next target or simply carrying on as before stops feeling like the obvious answer.

Perhaps work no longer gives you what it once did.

Perhaps you’re thinking about stepping back, changing direction, building something of your own or making more room for the things that matter outside work.

Or perhaps nothing is particularly wrong — you just have the growing sense that you don’t want the next ten years to look exactly like the last ten.

That’s where Navaia Coaching starts.

Recent customer feedback:

"Matthew has a great way of asking the right questions and helping you see things differently."

"The conversations gave me space to step back, think clearly and work out what I really wanted to do next."

"Thought-provoking, practical and refreshingly down to earth."

The Next Chapter

What do you want the next part of your life to be about?

This isn’t about throwing everything away and starting again.

It’s about stepping out of the noise for long enough to work out what you actually want — and then doing something about it.

We might explore questions like:

  • Do I still want the career I’ve built?

  • What would I do if I didn’t have anything left to prove?

  • What do I want more of in my life — and what am I ready to leave behind?

  • How do I make a meaningful change without blowing everything up?

  • What would a genuinely good next ten years look like?

You don't need to arrive with the answers.

That's rather the point.

A space to think differently

Navaia coaching is simple, thoughtful and practical.

There’s no formula to follow and no version of you that I’m trying to turn you into.

Instead, I give you the space to step back, ask the questions that are easy to avoid when life is busy, challenge some of the assumptions you’ve accumulated along the way and turn vague thoughts into clearer choices.

Sometimes that means making a big decision.

Often it means recognising that a surprisingly small change could make life feel very different.

The aim is not endless introspection.

It’s clarity — followed by movement.

Who is it for?

Navaia Coaching is particularly suited to people who have already achieved a lot, but find themselves wondering what comes next.

You might be:

  • successful in your career but increasingly unsure you want more of the same

  • considering a career change, sabbatical or early retirement

  • leaving a senior role and wondering what comes afterwards

  • thinking about starting something of your own

  • wanting more adventure, freedom or purpose outside work

  • at a crossroads without being entirely sure why

  • simply conscious that life is moving quickly and wanting to make the next part count

You don't need to be in crisis.

In fact, some of the most important questions appear when life is going perfectly well.

Why coach with me?

I spent much of my career in senior HR leadership roles inside large international organisations.

I understand the world of responsibility, targets, teams, careers and the constant pressure to keep moving forward.

But I also know what it feels like to question the path you're on.

Since stepping away from conventional corporate life, I've sailed across oceans, taught sailing, raced yachts, built Navaia and deliberately created a life that looks very different from the one I had before.

I don't think everyone should make the same choices I did.

But I do believe we should occasionally stop and ask whether the choices we're making are still genuinely ours.

That's the conversation I want Navaia Coaching to create.

How it works

Navaia Coaching isn’t designed as a series of quick, transactional calls.

The Next Chapter is a short, focused coaching engagement designed to give you enough space to think deeply, build momentum and start making meaningful decisions.

We begin with a free introductory conversation. It’s a chance to talk about where you are, what’s on your mind and whether working together feels right.

If we decide to continue, The Next Chapter includes:

  • a 90-minute opening session to properly explore where you are and what you want next

  • four 60-minute one-to-one coaching sessions over approximately 6–8 weeks

  • flexible scheduling around your diary

  • light-touch email or WhatsApp support between sessions where useful

  • a final conversation focused on decisions, direction and what happens next

There’s enough structure to create momentum, but enough flexibility for the coaching to follow what actually matters to you.
