Racing Experience
I’ve been racing boats since I was young, starting in dinghies before moving into offshore and short-handed racing.
Today I compete in the JOG offshore series double-handed, with podium finishes including a 2nd place.
I’ve also completed two Atlantic crossings with the ARC. While the ARC is officially a rally rather than a race, boats are still ranked on performance — finishing 4th on the crossing to the Caribbean and 2nd on the return to Europe.
For me, racing is less about collecting results and more about learning to sail a boat well — making good decisions, working efficiently as a team and finding a little more speed every time you go out.
That’s the experience and mindset I bring to Navaia Racing.

Bossy Boots is a Contessa 32—a design with a reputation built offshore, not in a marketing brochure.
She’s been extensively upgraded—new rudder, new mast, full modern sail set—so she sails properly, responds well, and rewards good sailing.
But let’s be clear.
We’re not turning up to win on speed alone.
In a mixed fleet, we might even be at the back.
And that’s exactly why this matters.
Because this isn’t about hiding behind a fast boat or blaming the kit.
